Update on Elderberry Wisdom TV
By Rose High Bear, Founding Director
Update on Elderberry Wisdom TV As some of you have discovered, Elderberry Wisdom Farm began producing a new local television program this summer. It is filmed and broadcast in partnership with Capitol Community Media, “a multimedia center in the greater Salem area that provides local content, education, and a platform for people who want to hear and be heard by their community.”
Filming and final post-production editing is completed by Producer/Director David Mora-Flores featuring monthly updates from our Native American organization by Program Host Joaquin Ocana who also serves as the nonprofit’s Native Plant Nursery Coordinator and Athabascan Elder Rose High Bear, EWF’s Founding Director.
Film clips of Native American elders and storytellers are recorded and produced by Filmmaker Sam Forencich who has worked with our organization since 2020. Sam has selflessly supported our organization making it possible for us to share multimedia messages with our community. It is part of our mission to provide oral tradition that shares the wisdom and knowledge of Native American elders, scientists and other leaders which increases appreciation and respect for Native American cultural and scientific heritage.
Episode Four of Elderberry Wisdom Television Program was just added. Recorded in August, it was released by Capitol Community Media September 9 on Channel 23. The airtime schedule:
