Good News from Americorps!

Congratulations arrived this week from Americorps! Elderberry Wisdom Farm and Blue Elderberry Farm LLC has been awarded a volunteer Americorps National Civilian Conservation Corp team. They arrive mid-May and stay through the third week in June. They will help complete important restoration work on our new farm where we are preparing the land and soil for development of agricultural crops produced by Native farmers. They will also help us restore our existing property and the new 17.6 acre parcel located adjacent to us. We will receive one of 25 teams that Americorps is sending out throughout America, although we have to keep in mind that since the government is monitoring disasters across the country (Hurricane Ida, wildfire recovery, refugee crisis) our team could get pulled away from our project if there is an emergency or disaster.
