We are a Native American non-profit organization.  Our goal is to empower Native American and other under-served people with knowledge and skills in agriculture, horticulture and habitat restoration, to strengthen themselves, their families and communities through fuller participation in their environment.

About our Organization

Wisdom of the Elderberry Farm is a Native American 501(c)(3) nonprofit located in rural Marion County, Oregon.

Founded in 2019, we provide opportunities for Native Americans to create and accomplish agricultural and horticultural career pathways so they can achieve prosperity while strengthening cultural identity and personal resiliency.

Our commitment to race reconciliation especially encourages today’s increasingly inclusive communities to strengthen appreciation and respect for the wisdom and knowledge of Native American elders, cultural leaders and indigenous scientists.

Wisdom of the Elderberry Farm is housed on the two-acre Blue Elderberry Farm owned by Wisdom of the Elderberry Farm’s Founder, Rose High Bear (Deg Hit’an Dine, Inupiaq).

WHAT'S GOING ON 
AT ELDERBERRY FARM

Elderberry Farm was created to provide an experiential learning experience for Native American farmers and horticulturalists interested in restoring our sacred landscape. The Farm is especially focused upon upon providing  health and wellness to Native Americans and others by reconnecting them to their Oldest Grandmother, the earth. No matter where we are from, no matter what our color, ethnicity, or age, she is still our Grandmother Earth. She provides the peace and tranquility that can only come from o a connection with our Creator and to our diverse ancestry. Therefore, we are especially committed to raising public awareness of our local ecosystem and Native Americans' prophetic role of helping all people to care for the earth and for one another with respect and honor.
